“Choreographer’s Showcase & Riviera Holiday”

Northeast Atlanta Ballet presents “Choreographers Showcase” & the world premiere of “The Wizard of Oz”. Join the talented dancers of Northeast Atlanta Ballet as they present an evening of original works by award winning and aspiring choreographers.  In addition, don’t miss our fun-filled presentation of “The Wizard of Oz”, an original ballet by Molly Klein. The ballet adaptation of “The Wizard of Oz” is a captivating reimagining of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale, transformed into an enchanting performance of dance and music. This production follows Dorothy’s journey from Kansas to the magical land of Oz, vividly brought to life through expressive choreography and vibrant costumes. Audiences are treated to the whimsical characters they know and love, such as the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion, each depicted with unique and dynamic dance styles. The visual storytelling, enhanced by imaginative set designs and lighting, immerses the audience in a fantastical world, making this ballet a mesmerizing experience for all ages. Perfect for all ages. Tickets $20 in advance. $25 day of performance.

“The Nutcracker”

November 29-December 1, 2024

Ring in the holidays with the Northeast Atlanta Ballet’s classic rendition of E.T.A. Hoffman’s tale, “The Nutcracker”.  Join Clara and her Nutcracker prince as they set out on a wonder-filled journey to battle the mouse kind and travel through the Land of the Snowflakes and Kingdom of Sweets to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy.  This family friendly production features the familiar classical music of Tchaikovsky.  Our elaborate production is sure to please audience members of all ages.  Performances are at the Gas South District (formlery called Infinite Energy Center.  Please call 770-921-7277 for further information about this annual holiday tradition. “Swan Lake”

March 8-9, 2025

Tchaikovsky’s exquisite score (played by the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra at allperformances) make this an absolutely breathtaking production.  Swan Lake blends the beautiful music of Tchaikovsky with sumptuous costumes and lavish scenery making the imaginary world come to life on stage.  Filled with swans, a nasty sorcerer, a fairytale princess and her handsome prince, Swan Lake is a magical story of love conquering all.  Perfect for audiences of all ages. “The Emperor & the Nightingale”

The Emperor and the Nightingale, based on Hans Christian Anderson’s enchanting fairytale for all ages about devotion and the healing power of love. Set in the Emperor’s Ancient Chinese palace, where exquisite ladies dance with painted fans and parasols – and exotic birds color the Oriental gardens, this ballet tells the story of a willowy Princess transformed into a Nightingale by an evil Sorceress.  The Sorceress then fashions a mechanical Golden Nightingale to distract the Emperor from breaking the spell and freeing his Princess; but, the Emperor’s broken heart can only be healed by the beautiful song of the true Nightingale.  “
