The Northeast Atlanta Ballet is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit ballet company based in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The Northeast Atlanta Ballet was founded in 1996 by Jennifer B. Gordon with the hope of providing her talented dancers with the most professional performing experience possible while bringing premium arts programming to Gwinnett and surrounding counties.
The company’s mission is twofold:
1. Providing professional quality classical ballet performances at affordable family pricing while,
2. Creating challenging and invaluable performing opportunities for aspiring dancers.
The Northeast Atlanta Ballet performs their annual “The Nutcracker” at Gas South District. The company also performs a full length classic from our reportoire each spring including “Cinderella”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Swan Lake”, “Coppelia”, “Giselle” and “Paquita” with live orchestration. The Northeast Atlanta Ballet also offers a children’s series including “Peter Pan”, “Aladdin”, “Beauty & the Beast” and “The Little Mermaid”. In addition to our full length productions, company members are challenged with the works of new and innovative choreographers.
Northeast Atlanta Ballet company members are consistently selected by prestigious national programs including School of American Ballet in New York City, North Carolina School for the Arts, American Ballet Theater, Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, Washington Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Orlando Ballet, The Harid Conservatory, Carolina Ballet and many others.
Many Northeast Atlanta Ballet alumni are dancing professionally across the country or continuing their education on University scholarships. Our dancers can be seen dancing professionally with the Houston Ballet, Ballet Pensacola, The Georgia Ballet, American Repertory Ballet, Nashville Ballet, Montgomery Ballet, Birmingham Ballet, and Ballet Tennessee just to name a few. Many dancers are continuing their dance education at prestigious Universities across the country including Butler Univeristy, Florida State University, Birmingham Southern, Mercyhurst, and many others.
