Mackenzie Cown

Mackenzie Cown started ballet when she was 3 years old. She attended various ballet schools
until she was 10 years old when she joined the Northeast Atlanta Ballet where she would
continue her classical ballet training until she graduated in 2015. Under the direction of Jennifer
Gordon at the Northeast Atlanta Ballet, Mackenzie Cown performed roles such as Dewdrop and
Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker, Tinkerbell and Tiger Lilly in Peter Pan, and her favorite role
of all time Cinderella in Cinderella. In addition to training at the Northeast Atlanta Ballet,
Mackenzie spent a summer training with the Nashville Ballet under the direction of Paul
Vasterling and a summer with Richmond Ballet under the direction of Stoner Winslett where
she was offered a traineeship. Mackenzie is now a senior at the University of Georgia and will
graduate with honors in May of 2019 with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering and a minor in
Ecology.
